The JoyeTech eGo-T Starter Kit was my first “intermediate” electronic cigarette purchase. I owned and vaped my Blu Cig for about 3 months before deciding to venture out and try some other products on the market. I must say, overall I think the eGo-T is a great piece for almost any level of e-cigarette smoker.
There is a slight learning curve when coming from the “beginner” type, traditional looking electronic cigarettes. The eGo-T, or eGo-Tank, is a tank system. This means it uses a tank that is filled with e-liquid and then wicks down into the atomizer and is then vaporized. This eliminates the need for syringes, drip-tips, and cartomizers. It’s a great convenience when you’re on-the-go because you don’t have to bother with carrying your bottle of e-liquid and dripping supplies around with you everywhere. All you have to do is fill your tank and you’re ready to go.
Look & Feel:
Like many of the other, more advanced e-cigs, the eGo-T doesn’t have the same look and feel of a traditional cigarette. This may be a put off for some people, but with the performance upgrade you get, it’s an easy obstacle to get over. Personally, I’ve come to enjoy the look and feel of the eGo-T. It’s light and fits in your hand quite nicely. One of my favorite features on this e-cig is the button. It has, for lack of a better term, great “clicky-ness”. What I mean by that is you know when you’re hitting the button. You get a nice click that you can both hear and feel. Some of the other units I’ve owned have a more squishy button that’s hard to tell if you’re pressing it or not. The eGo-T definitely gets some extra points for that in my book.
The eGo-T Starter Kit I purchased was the USB Passthrough kit. It comes with a removable cap on the end of the battery that has a mini USB connection under it that is used for charging. This is an absolutely wonderful feature because it allows you to continue vaping while you’re charging the battery. No more waiting while your battery has to charge because you forgot to charge up your spare. I work with computers everyday and also have a USB connection in my car so I never have to worry about being left with a dead battery. I did give it a full charge and run it until it completely died. I was impressed. With my style/frequency of vaping, I was able to get almost 2 full days out of a battery.
Coming in at $49.99-$79.99, the eGo-T is a great deal when compared to inferior e-cigs in the same price range. Plus, for that price you get 2 complete eGo-T units. The only additional accessories you will need in the future would be empty eGo-T Tank Cartridges (~$3 /5pk) and eventually another eGo-T Atomizer (~$12) or 2.
There’s not too much bad stuff I can say about the eGo-T. My only complaint I have with it is, sometimes the tank cartridges will leak. Some seem to be worse than others. Also, I’ve noticed some of my cartridges give off a pretty bad whistle when tanking a drag.
